Crun'z Cones

Back again with the food stand challenge. So if you have read my review earlier about the crepes, now I'm going to try another food stand.
My culinary journey took me to the nearest mall to where I lived. Yes, the Kota Kasablanka Mall. And I found an interesting food stand that offered somewhat unique food. I'm talking about Crun'z Cones.

Crun'z Cones is located in the UG floor of Kota Kasablanka Mall. It's an island counter, situated in front of Carrefour and Daiso. It only has one waitress handling the customer. There was no seating area considering this is a food stand, so I decided to order a takeaway.

The food offered here are pizza in a cone, and ice cream in a cone. Since ice cream in a cone is nothing out of the ordinary, I decided to order their pizza, since I never eat pizza in a cone.

The packaging

For the price, it's a flat price Rp. 15.000 for all variants of pizza cones and Rp. 18.000 for all variants of ice cream cones. Come on and see what I tried.

 Beef Blackpepper

First I tried the Beef Blackpepper. The fillings were macaroni, beef blackpepper, melted cheese and tomato sauce. Topped with black olive. It tasted pretty much as pizza should be. The cone itself is a bit crispy, and I found a generous amount of macaroni inside. The blackpepper gave it a nice spicy taste. Overall taste for my palate is decent enough.

 Chicken Frank

The next was Chicken Frank. Using the same macaroni, melted cheese and tomato sauce fillings. It also used a chicken wiener (sausage) commonly used for hot dogs. So the savory taste was quite strong. Overall it's also quite decent. A bit salty but delicious.

 Pepperoni

The last one was Pepperoni. Still using the same macaroni, melted cheese, and tomato sauce fillings then adding pepperoni on the top. I love the generous use of the pepperoni. It's quite savory and tasty too.

Overall conclusion, Crun'z Cones could be a good alternative if you should ever get bored with your regular food stand. I never had pizza eaten in a cone, but frankly after I tried actually it tasted quite nice. I just hope they would find other alternative ingridients instead of using the same macaroni for every pizza.
For the price tag it's quite reasonable. Cheap and affordable.
