Solaria La Piazza

Hi Eaters.

That Sunday night, me and my friends went out to the movies. We were going to watch a movie which starred our favourite old action movie actors. Yeah, I'm sure you know what movie I'm talking about.
Well, our checkpoint to see the movie was La Piazza. And once we've done buying the movie tickets, apparently the movie starts within the next hour. So we thought to get dinner in a nearby restaurant. Our choice was Solaria.

Well I think this restaurant is quite renown, with its many branches spreaded accross this city. It's pretty famous for providing a wide variant of cuisines with affordable prices.
The Solaria branch in La Piazza I think so far is the best decorated branch among others. It's very spacious, with the interior to be ethnically decorated. The walls uses ethnically carved wood, with sculptures and statues also placed to decorate the walls. The lightings are dimmed so it's pretty comfortable and cozy inside.
Here I give you some of the amazing interior snapshots.

Pretty good right? Who would've thought that a restaurant that's beautifully decorated can served affordable menus? Well, to make sure, let's just order some food and see how they tasted.

Kwetiau Sapi Goreng - Rp. 29.091.

This dish was quite tasty. The seasoning on the rice noodles in my opinion was just right. Nothing too salty and the savory hit the perfect level. Another good thing was that it's not too oily, so the meal felt quite light and eating it a mouthful after a mouthful was easy.
The portion was quite generous too, and the meatballs in this dish were quite a lot.

Nasi Bistik Ayam - Rp. 26.364.

A good meal for my opinion. Served along with capcay. The capcay was nice, although maybe for my palate it could go with a little more salt. The chicken was covered in a crunchy batter, and it was cooked nicely too so it didn't go dry because it's not overcooked. The seasoning on the chicken is quite decent, maybe it could be improved and just more bolder on the sauce. The rice was just so-so, I hoped it was more fluffier, but still edible.
Overall, a good dish. It wasn't stunning, but still tasty to eat.

Chicken Cordon Bleu - Rp. 33.637.

Served along with french fries and salad. The chicken itself had ham and cheese fillings inside, as a chicken cordon bleu should be. But apparently they used cheddar instead of mozzarella, so the cheese didn't melt and only sedimented there. The meat was almost slightly overcooked. I felt some part of the meat to be dry. Not much, but still dry meat aren't appetizing to eat, right? The brown sauce was good, perfect thickness and savoriness. The french fries was just so-so. I wished they were given a bit salt or something, so they wouldn't be too bland. And the salad needed more dressing.
Again, not a stunning dish, but the overall was not too disappointing.

Es Teh Manis - Rp. 6.364.

It had a decent taste. The sweetness was right. It didn't overpowered the tea flavor.

Es Lemon Tea - Rp. 10.910.

A typical lemon tea flavor, just sour and sweet. It's pretty refreshing though.

Overall conclusion, an affordable yet average diner. 
What's amazing about this restaurant is the interior and the affordable prices. 
The service, in my opinion, needs improvement and I think the waiters should show more friendly smile and behaviour to the customers.
Again, the prices are quite affordable and the portion is enough. Don't have high expectations though on the food. Nothing too stunning and nothing was quite memorable for me regarding the food. But nothing was disappointing too.
Well, at least this is a good place just to hang out and have light meals with friends.
