[HOTEL REVIEW] Atria Hotel & Conference, Gading Serpong

Hi Eaters.

Well, it's been two months since I last posted on the blog. I hope you guys miss me, lol. But seriously, a lot of things had happened in the last two months. Mostly good things, especially when it comes to food and fun.
Like this post right here, I'm going to talk about my staycation which happened around 2 weeks ago. Actually it's been planned for quite a long time, but since I went there with my foodie group it's kinda hard to match everyone's schedule and yet finally we came to a fixed date afterall.
Okay, okay, enough with the mumbling. Let me just go straight tell you guys about my fun staycation at Atria Hotel & Conference.

Located in the vast and rapidly growing area of Gading Serpong, it's not hard to find this hotel. It is situated near Summarecon Mall Serpong and Ara Hotel. Atria Hotel & Conference also happens to be one of the brand managed by Parador Hotels.
This chic-4 star hotel invited me and the GWStarving member for a 2D1N staycation in the event called "Blogger Familiarization Trip at Atria Hotel Gading Serpong". We were all very enthusiasted about this event since it was our first hotel staycation, and also very excited. Me, on the other hand, it certainly was an enjoyful thing to step my foot in Gading Serpong since it is not a place I often go to.

DAY ONE

CHECKING IN

We arrived there at 11 am to check in to our rooms. My first glance as I entered the hotel was the Bandrek station on the lobby. I think it's very cool that this hotel really sticks to the Indonesian root in serving welcome drinks.

After that we checked in to our rooms. The hotel was very generous giving me a Superior Room all for myself (yeeaaayyy!!) and I SUPER LOVED my room! It's at the far end corner of the hotel so I get a room with windows on two sides of the room. Cool! I bet the others envied my room, haha.

Anyway the Superior Room is super cozy. It is a 25 sqm Superior room that offers TV with various TV channels, safety deposit box, writing desk, sofa, full bathroom amenities, shower, AC, hairdryer, minibar, telephone, coffee and tea making facilities and slippers.

a big comfy bed just for myself, yeaayy!

See? What's not to love about this superior room? Certainly I loved how the hotel applied pastel colors for the room. For infos on pricing you can check here and here.

After this, comes my favourite part.. FOOD! Yes, it's lunch time and the hotel has prepared a special lunch treat for us. So let's head up to The Mezzanine Restaurant.

LUNCH TIME AT THE MEZZANINE RESTAURANT

The Mezzanine Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both stylish buffet and also ala carte can be enjoyed here. There is also live music performances every Friday. There are an indoor and an outdoor dining area, which you can choose according to your personal preference.
For lunch, we didn't try the buffet, because as I said earlier The Mezzanine has prepared a special treat for us. It's Indonesian food at its finest, prepared by Chef Gatot.

clockwise from top left: Karedok, Gurame Terbang, Krapu Bakar, Bebek Pulang Kampung

clockwise from top left: Kepiting Pedas Mangga Muda, Nasi Goreng Buntut, Sumo Burger, Sup Buntut

clockwise from top left: Tahu Gejrot, Asinan Sayur, Drink (I forgot the name), Es Campur Kelapa

Not very much restaurant can plated Indonesian dishes beautifully, but I have to admit that The Mezzanine did a fantastic job. Flavorwise, they're so delicious. Each and every one of them. Seriously. When I said earlier that these are Indonesian dishes at its finest, I sure am not lying. Well, except the Sumo Burger (a giant burger with a 20 cm oversized patty burger blackened with more than 20 herbs and spices, and topped with beef baconand ementhal cheese in the thick of classic homemade buns) which can't be included as Indonesian dishes. But as a giant burger may be made, it rocked my tastebud so hard!

HOTEL FACILITIES

After that full tummy delicious lunch we took the time to view some of the hotel facilities.

BALLROOM

Fit for weddings, corporate gatherings, seminars, product launching event, birthday parties, and other parties (sweet 17 maybe). It's quite large and certainly elegantly decorated.

MEETING ROOM

Suitable for business meetings, corporate meetings, small seminars, business pitching, etc. Equipped with on screen projector for your convenience.

GYM & SWIMMING POOL

Leisuring and relaxing don't mean that you should forget about your health. A perfect gym with complete fitness equipment and an outdoor swimming pool are provided to keep you stay in shape.

FAMOUS SPA

Tired after the workout or just looking for a soothing relaxation? This is the spot.

COOKING LESSON: ITALIAN CUISINE "AL DENTE"

After we were satisfied taking a tour of the hotel facilities, we were given a cooking lesson by Chef Gatot. He taught us how to make the perfect al dente pasta, in this term he made ravioli with spinach fillings.

It may looked simple but certainly it's not as easy as it may seemed. And the perfect al dente was not much fond by most people since they commonly think that the pasta was undercooked (which was obviously a wrong thought). But for my palate, I prefer pasta with the right al dente, not too soft, not too soggy.I like it just like the way Chef Gatot demonstrated, the perfect al dente.

DINNER TIME AT BIANCO RESTAURANT

Located at Atria Residences, just behind the Atria Hotel, this restaurant offers classic genuine Italian dishes that up until today still lingers in my mind.

Bianco in Italian means white. As you can see above, this restaurant applied white color so dominantly in the interior, combined with wooden brown to give it a rustic yet elegant look to the entire interior. There is also a wall painting depicting Venice panorama to add more Italian touch to the restaurant.

The welcome bread was a treat itself. Came in various type of bread and quite a big basket of portion too.

Insalata Caesar con Pollo - IDR 69K

"Cruncy Romain lettuce with cream garlic dressing and slices grilled chicken"

The appetizer was this caesar salad which tasted so delicious. Too bad the portion was quite small. Actually I've never craved for another portion of salad anywhere before..until I tried this one. I just want more!

Coze al Vapore - IDR 65K

"Steamed green mussels mixed with tomato basil sauce"

Another appetizer which was excellent. I really loved the tomato basil sauce. It's got that acidity and sweetness just perfectly. And I love how the flavors combined with the fresh mussels. It's just delicious.

Tre Pasta Fresca

"Tagliotelle allo scoglio, spinachi ricotta ravioli, fetucini e podomori"

A plate consisted of 3 kinds of different pasta dishes. Loved them, especially the ravioli.

Portata Principale

"Salmon lasagne, pollo alle aglio e rosmarrino, lombatina di angelo"

3 fine selections of meat: chicken, lamb and salmon. Their finest was the salmon lasagna (salmon lasagne). I never had salmon being made into a lasagna but honestly it was so good.

Tiramisu

Last but not least, it's dessert. It came as DA BOMB. I was never a fan of sweet food but I have to admit this one was extra special and it would be so wrong to be miss out. Sweet firm and light-densed tiramisu cake with caramel sauce and chocolate topping. It was just a sweet escapade that I will surely glad to take any time of the day.

So that wrapped up a fine perfect dinner. Nothing was disappointing. The service was just impeccable. The food was spot on and the venue was exquisite.
Time to head up to our room for a good night rest.

DAY TWO

BREAKFAST AND CHECKING OUT

We went to The Mezzanine again the next day to have breakfast. There were a lot of selections of food and beverages to try. So sorry for missing out taking photos on the breakfast session.

In the nutshell it was a super fun staycation. The hotel was excellent. The room was nice and clean, the service was great, good wi-fi connection throughout the hotel, and awesome food on their restaurants.
If you're currently looking for a place to escape from the busy life of the big city like Jakarta, then Atria Hotel & Conference can be considered and listed as the perfect getaway.
Again, thank you so much Atria Hotel & Conference, and also Parador Hotels for the hospitality. It's a wonderful and an unforgetable time for me.

Keep on chewing!

  1. I love how clean the lobby and rooms look. Lots of glass, smooth surfaces, and natural light really give it a modern aesthetic. Sounds like you had a great stay there. The restaurant also looks world class, especially the patio. There’s nothing quite as relaxing as eating outside at a luxurious hotel!
