Blackout Halloween Night at The Park Lane Hotel Jakarta

Hi Eaters.

Seems that it's been a while since I update this blog. Pardon for that. I will try my best to update this blog more often (promise). 
For the first post after what seems to be a long time, I want to share my experience of attending the Blackout Halloween Night at The Park Lane Hotel Jakarta. It's their last halloween event bearing the name The Park Lane Hotel, since they will be turn to be The Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta.
It was a very exciting and unique event, I must say. More stories below.

Pork Star, Bali (Second visit)

Hi Eaters.

As I am writing this down, I am reminiscing my recent trip to Bali. It was around 3 weeks ago and I went there with some friends. It's truly sad to hear that Bali is currently experiencing volcanic eruption. I sure do hope it will pass soon. Well, anyway, my visit to Bali now gets more exciting since I am enlisting this new restaurant to my favorite and must visit place. You know what restaurant I'm talking about. It's definitely have gotta be Pork Star!

IINDIGO Lounge at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jakarta

What is your definition of a 'Sunday well spent'? Mine would be good food with good friends. Well, it was my meet up with my buddies after a couple of weeks we didn't have the chance to gather up, and what couldn't be better than to spend it at a place with delicious food.
As it was a nice Sunday afternoon, we shared small talks and laughters at IINDIGO Lounge.

Sunday Brunch at Cassis Kitchen, Jakarta

I've come this place for several occasions, mainly food tasting invitation for a Sunday Brunch. I must say this place is quite convenient for some reasons, let's say for its location or its ambiance. Last Sunday I made another visit, this time to accompany a dear friend of mine which happens to be a blogger too. We came there to enjoy another spectacular Sunday Brunch by Cassis Kitchen.

Jia Jia Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice

For those of you who just love to travel to Singapore, hainanese chicken rice is an absolute dish to hunt for. Consider to be the national dish of Singapore, it is just an uncomplete trip if you don't take the time to try this delicacy.
I, myself, is a fan of this fragrant chicken rice. To be honest, not so many restaurants could deliver that perfectly rich flavor that hainanese chicken rice should have. 
Luckily, now I can recommend you a place that fulfill my expectations, called Jia Jia Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice.

Pearl Chinese Restaurant, JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta

Sunday leisure time means it's time to get awesome food. My family has a tradition, back when my late father was still around, we would go and enjoy dim sums as brunch. We had our own pick when it comes to dim sums, a place where we felt the food just suits our taste. It's kinda picky when it comes to dim sums, not all Chinese restaurants are pretty skillful in making them. But yet some time ago I found a place that could be my reference for another family Sunday dim sum brunch. It's called Pearl Chinese Restaurant at JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta.

[BALI] Pork Star, Seminyak

If you follow my Instagram, you'll know that several weeks ago I went to Bali for 4 days to enjoy my holiday. Usually during holiday, I tend not to do any work whatsoever, even though it includes food. Well, maybe I took a bit of photos for my Instagram feed, but never go beyond that. I'd rather relax and have a nice warm (or maybe hot) meal instead of having it cold like during food tasting.
But on my last trip I made an exception during my visit to Pork Star. I just feel like I need to spread the word out!

This wasn't my first time in this restaurant. It was my second time. Yet the first time still quite lingers in my mind. It was a mind blowing seafood night back then. And for this second time, I got to try their Sunday Brunch.

Halloween is upon us. Yes, the scariest festive of the entire year is coming, and the hype of serving Halloween-themed dishes is echoing in the culinary world.
I, myself, well honestly isn't the bravest from the crowd when it comes to encounter ghosts. But food being shaped as ghosts, well, never scared me, LOL. I actually admired those crafty hands behind the unique and terrifying dishes.
So, this week I got invited for a sneak peek of the Halloween-themed dishes at The Park Lane Hotel Jakarta. Named 13 Ghosts Spooky Halloween Buffet and Halloween Parade, two of the splendid restaurants from the hotel, Cafe One Asian Fusion and Riva Grill, Bar & Terrace, served up a line of spooky food. If you ever been to Bandung, then you will be familiar with Mouton Slice & Grill, the famous BBQ joint which is located at Jl. Gandapura, Bandung.
If you also happened to love the food, then you must rejoice because now Mouton Slice & Grill has officially opened its first branch in Jakarta!
