It's another Openrice gathering. Last Saturday I was invited to Pangkep 33, a seafood restaurant located in Pluit. I was kind of in a rush that day, having to go to another place to fulfill yet another foodtasting invitation. But anyway, Pangkep 33 is quite memorable for its delicious seafood dishes, so this is one gathering I didn't want to miss.

Well, it's been two months since I last posted on the blog. I hope you guys miss me, lol. But seriously, a lot of things had happened in the last two months. Mostly good things, especially when it comes to food and fun.
Like this post right here, I'm going to talk about my staycation which happened around 2 weeks ago. Actually it's been planned for quite a long time, but since I went there with my foodie group it's kinda hard to match everyone's schedule and yet finally we came to a fixed date afterall.
Okay, okay, enough with the mumbling. Let me just go straight tell you guys about my fun staycation at Atria Hotel & Conference.

Welcoming this fasting month, a lot of restaurants serve special dishes that accomodate the celebration of breakfasting. Nonetheless, hotel restaurants also happen to join the festivity of serving Middle-east-themed dishes in this holy month.
One of these restaurants was my favourite hotel-buffet-restaurant in Jakarta, Sana Sini Restaurant Pullman Hotel.

It was a lazy Sunday morning. Yes, apparently every Sunday has become a lazy day for me since being single (it's a sad story indeed).
But that Sunday was no lazy time for me since my fellow foodie asked me to join in a foodtasting event at MazelTov.

It's another Zomato Foodie MeetUp. Yeayy!
The last meetup I had was at December last year and been waiting so long to be invited to another meetup. I'm always excited when it comes to meet other foodies, having fun talks and certainly having good food together.
So yes, it's something I long for. And for this meetup it took place at Hog's Breath Cafe.

It was a jolly day. A national holiday. Yes, it was at the 2nd of June when I visited this place.
My wacky foodie friends had plans to do a gathering and we decided to do that while attending a foodtasting (or more to a coffee tasting) invitation.
As they say, good friends and good coffee equals to a wonderful time. And that's all I had that day at Watt Coffee.

Been planning for a long time for this event and we (me and the GWStarving members) were so happy to know that there were so many restaurants and cafe offering us to stop by and try their food. So yes, it was a full-packed two days of culinary enjoyment at Bandung.

As it was seemed this week I was so craving for Thai food. I haven't had it for quite some time, and certainly the feel of the herbs and spices were something I miss.
Was lucky enough that at the weekend I got invited to have a taste of Thai food, and apparently the premium ones. Yeaayy! You could really say that I was really longing for Saturday to come so I can taste those delicacies at Thai Alley.

Kemang is one of the culinary region in which I can say is pretty hip, with lots of interesting cafes, restaurants and food joints. But to know that there is a certain mall in this region is quite surprising to me. Well, to be honest, everytime I step at this particular area, my attention and interest mostly go to restaurants or cafes found at the side of the street and not the mall.
This month was a new experience for me, and also an honor to be picked as one of the foodbloggers by Indonesian Food Blogger (indonesianfoodblogger.com), given the task to write reviews for the tenants of Lippo Mall Kemang in an event called FoodVaganza.

Been hearing about this particular restaurant since its grand opening, and it seems that it doesn't stop pulling customers to come there every day.
Well, Ismaya is just one brand you can't really doubt when it comes about F&B. They've owned quite large market with their restaurants. And now they've opened yet another fancy and unique restaurant in the biggest mall in central Jakarta, it's called Publik Markette.

A surprising email came up to my account inviting me to an opening party of a new sushi restaurant in town. It was kind of a dilemma for me since that day I was invited to another restaurant's grand opening. But clearly since I have to choose one, then I decided to take the offer and immediately booked my place to come to Itacho Sushi.

This restaurant isn't new for me. I've been here before for the Openrice gathering and has fallen in love with the food ever since. Located in Kelapa Gading, an area which I visit a lot during weekends, this restaurant has established a special place in my heart thanks to its delish Thai food. And so that day with so much joy I found myself coming back to fulfill a foodtasting invitation at Sip Ha Thai BBQ & Bistro.

Yet again another Openrice Indonesia gathering. And this time it took place in Kelapa Gading, yeaayy!! It's an area I've come to know so well over the last few years.

Snacking time is one of my favourite time of the day. And blessed me since I am born in a country where there are so many snack vendors easily found in my neighbourhood.
But finding snacks which could satisfy my taste buds was never easy. Sometimes I just have to be satisfied with something which only fulfill my hunger then it is fulfilling my palate.

Well this particular area has emerged to a very intriguing culinary spot for most people nowadays, with new restaurants popping out along with its unique storefront design and tasty food.
One of these places with stand-out storefront exterior and interior designs is The LAB.

Always love these kind of events. And this is the first Openrice gathering in 2015. I was so happy that they held it on a Saturday morning, well at brunch time to be exact.
This time the gathering is held at Dill Gourmet.

I was actually planning on taking a leave on this February. I mean, taking some time off from foodblogging activities. But the enthusiasm of good food still flares inside me, and I couldn't resist on coming to any foodtasting invitation, especially from a place I've come to know serves wonderful dishes. Such as this favourite restaurant of mine, Bakerzin.

I remember turning on my TV last night, switching on to see America's reality show where they search for the next top model (I bet you know what's the name of the reality show) and they were shooting at Seoul.
Korean wave has certainly put an impact on international culture, not only fashion, lifestyle, but also the food.
In Indonesia itself, countless Korean restaurant has been emerging rapidly. And as a culinary enthusiast I find it so exciting. But as much as I love Korean food, still it is a heritage I don't fully understand. So lucky now I am helped by the Korean Restaurant Guide app on my Android device.
